Would a collapsed lifter cause weird compression checks

Great video thank you!!! I have an 89 f150 5.0 and have been chasing a lot of problems and got it finally Down to the pip in the distributor. I replaced it yesterday with a oreilys distributor and it ran great for 15 mins and then started running like crap and backfiring. Let it cool down for about 30 mins or so and it ran fine for another 5 mins until it got hot again, Im assuming a bad /cheap distributor but I'm going to test it like this to make sure .

A drag and drive is still on my bucket list, but there's no way I'd be able to do it like you guys did. Congrats on the 5.47 pass and finishing the week!

What did you have for timing in it?

Moroso makes restrictor plates that go in place of your thermostat they just look like big washers they’re cheap and you get a bunch in a kit and they work perfectly to tune water flow and control heat, you also never have to worry about a thermostat sticking

What was your boy pointing at down by the header? And for us guys who spent too many years welding and are half blind now can you stick the slip right up into the camera for a second or two please

The side bars on the roll cage clearly provide adequate occupant protection. But I’m curious about the doors. Are they required for legal street operation ? The absence of doors during those long street cruises is obviously a safety requirement to prevent the occupants from passing out from excessive heat. I would think that having doors during competition is essential to prevent aerodynamic drag at speed. I’m convinced that getting your doors blown off by the opponent is definitely nothing to be worried about 😉🏁
